Da qualche tempo collaboro con Maria di Maria Denmark Sewing, creatrice di cartamodelli indipendenti e ho avuto l’opportunità di cucire il nuovo vestito felpa di Sewing Life magazine numero 8.
It’s about a few months now that I’m collaborating with Maria from Maria Denmark Sewing, indie pattern creator and I’ve had the opportunity to sew the new sweater dress you’ll find on the Sewing Life Magazine issue 8.
Come funziona Sewing Life Magazine? Per ogni numero hai un modello da cucire e tutti i tutorial per crearlo e renderlo tuo! Io ho deciso che per questa volta, il vestito felpa doveva essere comodo ma anche avere quel dettaglio in più, nello specifico le maniche bishop!
How does Sewing Life Magazine works? For each and every number you have a new pattern with all the tutorials you need to make it perfect for yourself! I decide to go for this sweater issue with the bishop sleeves version, to give it the little kick the sweater weather needs!
Come per tutti i modelli di Maria Denmark Sewing, la praticità è regina: un vestito che si cuce velocissimo e che riesce a soddisfare tutte le occasioni, sia con scarpe sportive che stivali!
This sweater dress is another Maria Denmark Sewing staple: versatile, practical yet stylish, the pattern allows you to be creative, is quick to sew, and goes perfectly both with sneakers and boots!
E la stoffa? What about the fabric?
Questo abito è perfetto per un bel jersey, morbido ed elasticizzato, invernale. Io ho scelto la una fantasia rigata e l’ho abbinata a del vellutlo elasticizzato per le rifiniture!
This sweater dress is perfect for a winter jersey fabric. I went for this jacquard jersey and paired it with stretch velvet for details!
I dettagli! The details!
I dettagli da tenere in considerazione in questo abito sono, secondo me, due: lo scollo morbido, che con la sua forma non scopre troppo – perchè siamo seri, è comunque freddo!!!
The details you need to check are two, in my opinion: the neckline. Smooth and close to the neck – cause let’s be serious, it’s winter, and it’s freezing!
E le maniche lanterna, mio grandissimo amore, chiuse dal polsino che non permette quindi al freddo in entrare (si capisce che ho sempre freddo, a questo punto? Penso di sì!)!
And yes, the bishop sleeves: the love of my life, closed by a cuff so that cold temperatures cannot enter in your arm (I bet you got the idea I’m always freezing!)!
