Due note importanti prima di iniziare:
Tutti margini di cucitura che vedrai in questo tutorial sono di 1 cm per le cuciture e 0.7 cm per le impunture. Se preferisci farle diverse, adattale pure a te! Prima di iniziare a cucire, consiglio spassionato per esperienza, arriva fino in fondo al tutorial per saperti regolare con tutti i passaggi ed avere un’idea generale.
Please read this before starting:
All seam allowances in this tutorial are 1 cm and 0.7 cm for topstitching. Feel free to adapt them to you if they don’t suit you! Before starting to sew, a little bit of unwanted advice, read carefully through all of the tutorial, to have a complete idea and know where you’re going.
In precedenza hai posizionato due spilli, per segnare la lunghezza dei 15 cm del filetto terminato.
Previously you have place two pins were the 15 cm of the welt pocket ended.
Inizia a cucire partendo da dove è stato posizionato lo spillo, posizionando il piedino sulla fine del filetto.
Start to sew where the pin is placed, sewing at a foot distance from the welt end.
Questa distanza che terrai in fase di cucitura, ti permetterà di avere un filetto con due parti equidistanti l’una dall’altra.
The distance you will sew with, will help you to have an equidistant welt space to turn your welt pocket!
Termina la tua cucitura dove hai posizionato l’altro spillo.
End your seam where the other pin is placed.
Ripeti la stessa operazione dall’altra parte, iniziando da dove parte la finta patta.
Repeat the same operation on the other side, starting your seam on the flap.
Termina al cucitura dove finisce la finta patta.
End your seam where the flap ends.
Le due cuciture nella parte posteriore, dove si trova la tasca, devono risultare così: iniziano e finiscono nello stesso punto. Se sono più lunghe o più corte, devono essere rifatte, per poter terminare pari.
This is how the two seams must look like once finished: if they are not long the same, they must be unripped and re-sewed.
La finta patta e le cuciture, pronte per essere tagliate!
The flap and the seams, ready to be cut!
Ora segna a 1,5 cm dal termine del filetto un punto: ti servirà come riferimento per tagliare il filetto in maniera corretta.
Now trace a dot 1.5 cm away from the welt end: this will help you to sew the welt correctly.
Parti dal centro del filetto a tagliare: cerca di eseguire il taglio al centro dei due filetti.
Start from the center of the welt to cut it: try to cut in the middle of the welt.
Quando arrivi al punto che hai segnato in partenza, fermati e taglia in diagonale, fino ad arrivare al termine della cucitura.
Once you get to the dot, stop to cut straight and cut in diagonal, arriving with the point of your scissor till the seam.
Esegui lo stesso taglio dalla parte opposta: deve venir fuori un triangolo!
Repeat the same operation on the other part: a triangle must come out!
Ripeti la stessa operazione per l’altro lato.
Repeat the same operation on the other side.
Ora prendi i due lati corti del filetto e premi con il pollice verso l’interno.
Take the two short sides of the welt and push them on the inside with your thumb.
Il triangolo che hai tagliato, deve spuntare verso l’altra parte, così!
The triangle you cutted previously, must come out from the other side!
Come primo movimento, i due filetti si sovrapporranno un pochino fra di loro.
Before adjusting, the two sides of the welt will overlap a bit.
Tu cerca di distanziarli e fermali con uno spillo!
Try to place them one on the side of the other and pin them!
